“For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

We all resist learning new songs, and we especially love singing the old familiar carols at Christmas. But, I always take heart in knowing that every song and carol was new once. Local hymn writing duo Sally Ann Morris and Mary Louise Bringle have written a new setting of Isaiah 9:2-7 which will be our Advent song for 2016. We’ll sing it together each Sunday as we light the Advent candle.
